Using The Three Ways Of Dealing With Debt To Start Getting Out Of Debt

Yesterday I wrote a post describing the three ways to get out of debt and why, for most of us, there only is one Real way. The first way of getting out of debt – by reducing spending so that income exceeds the amount you’re spending, only works if you are currently spending money on a lot of questionable things that have little or no value and that are not essential to your life. If, on the other hand, you are already living as frugally as possible it will be very difficult to cut expenses to the point where you are getting out of debt using this method.

getting out of debtAnother problem with this scenario is that your expenses are a LOT more likely to rise without a subsequent increase on the income side, making getting out of debt virtually impossible. As we talked about yesterday, the second way of getting out of debt, (by printing money), only works short term for both crooks and governments. And that it may not just be coincidence that they are combined in the same sentence.

So we come, almost by default, to the third way of getting out of debt by increasing the amount of money that you have coming in. This is by far and away the best method as you won’t have to dramatically decrease your lifestyle, nor will you have any down time in jail.

Having Trouble Getting Out Of Debt?

Now I don’t know about you but I already have a pretty full day. I work and put in a lot of hours so it is difficult to see how I can add more additional income through working longer hours. I have used that method and still sometimes do, but it doesn’t bring in a lot of extra money. I’ve made investments and watched them grow and grow, but the longer I left them in the more certain it was that I was going to risk losing part or all of my money.

And you can’t eat profits. Not when they are on paper, and not when they are unrealized as almost all investments are. So after trying a whole host of things and spending a fortune on seminars, workshops and courses I came to the conclusion that without changing (read disrupting) a goodly chunk of my life, I was going to have to find a way to make my additional income online. It’s the only way that offers the flexibility that I need for me and my family.

I have been looking at online marketing and other methods of making money online for some time. I evengetting out of debt signed up for some marketing courses and programs that promised good results that just never showed up. I bought leads, phoned half the people in the US and got not a lot for all my efforts. There has to be a more profitable way. I grew skeptical, then cynical. I was tired of being lied to, tired of being told how easy this would be and how soon I would be getting out of debt if only I sent $97 and bought this next course.

Then I found a few people that were honest. Brutally honest. Told me how 97% of people like me were NEVER going to make our fortune online. NEVER going to be on track for getting out of debt. How I wasn’t going to be one of the 3%. Because it was too hard, it took too long and it cost too much. Well gee, thanks guys, I already knew that. I’d figured that out on my own.

Then something one of them said clicked. “You can’t do this alone”. Well fair enough, but who would I do this with. I sure haven’t met many online ‘leaders’ I would want to do business with. But I had met some people that I trusted, ones that were struggling just like me, just like you. Except a few that weren’t struggling so much anymore. They were quietly making money. Quite a lot of it…to be cont’d

Till Next Time….
