Traffic – Maybe The Worst Kept Internet Marketing Secret

Yesterday we talked about how traffic was essential for the success of your business and how that’s hardly an internet marketing secret, because you need it for any business. We also discussed the reason why traffic alone won’t necessarily translate into sales. Lastly, we identified targeted traffic as being the key ingredient.

Targeted traffic or sorted traffic is the term used to describe only those people who are the most likely to buy your product or service. Once you have them sorted out via a sales funnel, then and only then do you begin to market to them. They are the only people that you want to reach with your message. They are your fertile soil. Everyone else is just rocks and swamp and road and parking lots that won’t grow into anything of value from your perspective.

So Why Is Traffic The Worst Kept Internet Marketing Secret?

When people (and marketers) start going on about traffic as if it is THE internet marketing secret, they are at best only telling you half the story. The other half is making sure that you have a way, or preferably a whole system, that is devoted to filtering your leads to the point where you are only investing your time with those leads that are the most qualified. You DON’T have enough time to talk to everyone. Get used to it!

The system of filtering leads that I am referring to is called a ‘sales funnel.’   The very best program that I have run across for building your own sales funnel is the one that DMC uses. I am giving you a link so you can go and check it out. Please remember, you are under no obligation to buy, you are merely there to check it out. However, I do encourage you to compare it to any other one that you have seen for both cost and efficacy. Matt Lloyd also has a sales funnel creation tool that he markets through his e-book I.M. Revolution in a Funded Proposal package.

This isn’t exactly an internet marketing secret, but so few people knew about it that it may as well be considered one. Neither one of these methods are as comprehensive as the product that is introduced in I.M. revolution where the sales funnel is already built for you, and all that you have to do is drive traffic into the sales funnel that is there, and everything is pretty much done for you. That includes the reps from the sales room that contact the prospective client on your behalf. Talk about a turnkey operation! It doesn’t get much easier than this.

It depends on you as the individual to determine what will work best for you. If you have the skills and time building your own funnel might make the most sense. If that’s not the case, you may want to go with the already developed funnel and begin to drive traffic to it right away.
