Persistence Pays Off

How Persistence Pays Off

I want to share with you some very personal details of my life…for a very specific reason.

I think this will be of great benefit to you as you work at growing and scaling your internet marketing business to the level that you want to create.

Plus, there is another very specific reason that I am sharing this with you. I have found that it is a lot more enjoyable and fulfilling to read blog posts from people that I at least know a little about.

To that end, I am going to share a story from our lives that illustrates the benefits that come to you when  you are Portrait Of Sad Pretty Girl by anankkml, fdppersistent.  For us, it is a story of personal triumph over a variety of obstacles and challenges.

Persistence Over Inaction

We had been married for a number of years when we decided that we had a stable enough income that we could afford to have children. If such a state ever exists. In reality, I think we just didn’t know any better. That led us on a six year odyssey that took us to fertilization clinics and in-vitro labs in two countries, and finally culminated in the adoption of two beautiful children from Romania.

It is easy to describe in vague terms in just a few sentences the challenges, frustrations, hopes and disappointments that we felt throughout the process. It is almost impossible to adequately describe the raw emotion and feeling that our entire family went through during this time. It was both excruciating and exhilarating, at times. It was also humbling, humiliating and humorous at others. We laughed. We cried. It brought us closer together and helped to make us what we are today.

But throughout it all, We NEVER lost sight of our goal! We were persistent and kept moving forward.

PersistenceBut the absolutely best part is that we are the very proud parents of a couple of kids who have changed the minds and thinking of almost everyone that they have met. We are often reminded by others about how fortunate our children are to live in this great country, and to have been saved from a very bad fate in Romania. While that is almost certainly true, we like to point out that we are the lucky ones, how grateful we are, and how they have blessed our lives with so much joy and happiness.

This experience made us stronger, made us better people. It showed us that you can plan all you want but nothing, and I mean nothing, beats experiential learning.

It also showed us that the rewards for refusing to give up and never backing down or settling can be truly astounding. We are grateful beyond measure.

Are you persistent?

Do you keep moving forward even when life tries to knock you on your butt?

I love your story of persisting through life’s adversities and trials. My trials began early in life at age 20 when my high school sweetheart died from complications of Leukemia. Unprepared for such tragedy I simply put one foot in front of the other on a daily basis. How did I survive? By falling back on the teachings of my family, grandma and grandpa, mom and day who taught me life isn’t fair, you must work hard and never, ever give up. Your story Sigrid is similar in that had you given up you wouldn’t have your adorable children in your life today. Thanks for sharing.
