Product Creation – Killing Zombies

Product Creation Myths Destroyed

Yesterday I likened product creation to being something akin to a zombie insofar as it was difficult to pin down because it just seems so unassailable. And that is part of the enigma of product creation. We all know that sooner or later, to get to the big money, we are going to have to take on the zombie and create products of our own.

Yesterday I also talked about how I was in that same boat, having come to the realization that I too have to enter the realm of product creation if I want to do what I first set out to do online; namely, have a positive impact on other people’s lives.

To help move myself through this process I have enlisted the help of my friend, Brenden Burchard, who has devised a step by step process for product creation that works no matter what products you wish to create. It can be an e-book or a DVD training series, a tele-seminar or it can be a coaching/support program in a field that you are an expert in.

I am currently in the process of creating a product so this information could not have come at a better time. To make this as experiential as possible I want to show you exactly the steps that I am taking as we move through this product creation process. That way you will be able to see just how easy it really is and how you can finish off the zombie and create products of your own as well.

Product Creation Step By Step

Step One: Identity.

First we need to identify what it is that our product will do and who it will benefit. When I first got started in the business of online marketing I didn’t have much of a list. I bet that many of you are in the same place, either right now or you have been in the past. List building is one of those things that you never ever quit doing. There is never a problem with having too much money to help do good deeds, in much the same way as there is no such thing as too many people on my list. My product (coaching) is going to provide guidance to people going through the list building process so that they can develop their own list to market to.

Step Two: Challenges (Have you ever had these?)

List building is not an easy task, especially if you want to do it in a relatively short period of time on a limited budget. I’m sure that many of you have experienced that first hand yourself, so you know what I say is true. Have you ever thought to yourself that this is painful, or that I am going to be years and years just building a list?

Step Three: My Story

I tried list building in any way that I could. I advertised, I purchased leads, I traded leads, I sent out DVD’s and brochures, you name it I have tried it. And, with disappointing results. A lot of investment in time and in money and not very much to show for it. I remember thinking that there has to be an easier way. And that it is no wonder the failure rate is so high in online marketing because it is such a challenge to build a viable list.

Tomorrow we are going to continue with the list of steps that will take you right through the entire process of product creation. And you can bet that I am working on building my list today, just as you need to be. I look forward to sharing the solution with you that I found that is working for me. See you then…

Till Next Time….
