 Should You Have a Blog?

This is a question that you can only answer for yourself, I can’t really do that for you, because no one knows your business like you do. However, I can give you some criteria that may help you decide or it may just give you more information to chew on while you assess your options. It’s also sort of a snapshot of why I started a blog as well.

What a Blog Can Be

  • An inexpensive method of promoting your business online
  • A way to rank with the search engines to gain you better exposure
  • An excellent forum for teaching, learning and disseminating information
  • A means to rapidly become a widely recognized expert in your field
  • Brand yourself online. Stand out from the rest
  • The most cost effective way to generate vetted topical leads
  • It stays online forever so you can derive sales from it years from now
  • A way to create content that allows some out-of-this-world tax deductions
  • The ‘edge’ you need in this very competitive world of business
  • A limited time investment that allows you to transition from traditional marketing into the New Age of Business.
  • A Web-based asset that you control and own. Not like an article hosting site

If you have been thinking about creating a blog or just looking at the idea this could be exactly the time to do it. I took the plunge myself almost a month ago because I came across what was advertised as a goof proof entry level way to start a blog and make it really successful. Of course it came with the usual guarantees that I would be able to do this on my own if I followed the simple system laid out in this course.

How I Did It

How was it? In short, I was blown away. It was everything that it promised and more. The Main Man of the course, Ray Higdon,  is exactly the type of individual you would love to have as a teacher and mentor. He is well respected, totally honest and as down to earth a guy as you will ever find. In short, he is genuine and real.  His interest is not in making money (he hardly needs to with his blog results) but rather in helping other people do what he has done.

The four module course, Pro Blog Academy,  is as direct and easy to follow as I have ever taken. The goals are clear and the process simplified to the point where literally everyone can do it. Of course not everyone will.  But I am taking no chances just in case my competition is thinking of starting a blog and I wanted to get going right away.

Isn’t It Hard to Do? (Painful even?)

Thanks to the Pro Blog Academy, this is the 25th consecutive daily blogpost that I have written. So you see it isn’t that hard to do. And no, I will never run out of things to write about. How about you? Ready to change it up? Ready to join the medium where 90% of your clients are going to come from?
